New patient with Dr. Vallera. She spent considerable time with me and, hopefully, she will be able to help me control my diabetes. HOWEVER, the office staff is an irresponsible mess. They sent two prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy and they provided a printout of my supposedly current meds that had many wrong or missing listings. \Not our fault\ they said. \Blame the Baylor system.\ And be prepared to spend hours on hold!

Worst place to try and get help someone on the phone tells you that you are good to come then when you get there you are told that you need to paper work horrible communication and service never recommend going back or going here

Went in for a follow up appointment. I waited an hour before being called in. I saw the doctor for maybe 5 min or less, he seemed like he was in a rush. After that I waited another 45 min before getting blood drawn for labs. Wasted 3 hours of my day to see the doctor for not even 5 min. I have never had a experience this bad in my life at any endocrinologist visit. Make sure you do not have any plans for the day if you are deciding to go here.

I found this practice having been to other doctors at Baylor Scott and White. Dr. Arayanka is who I was assigned to and he is very nice. He has good bedside manner and listens well and explains things in detail which I like because I always have lots of questions. The frustrating part of the practice is the front staff and people who control and manage all the details before you get in with the physicians. I’ve seen two docs now who were both excellent . But the wait times and calling in aspects are horrible. I have been trying to talk with someone this morning about test results and no one has even answered the phone yet and I’ve been on hold over 15 min. This is pretty typical for calling in. Once I had a concern about a lab and a side effect to a medication and spoke to about 4 people and all of them told me that this wasn’t something they handled there. Of course it was. Once I got into the practice and saw my doctor, it was all fine, but getting to the doctors is too hard. For the amount of people working at the office, I can’t understand why it can take an hour to even talk to a secretary or appointment maker when you call. It’s unacceptable.

Dr. Welch is awesome! He’s super friendly and knowledgeable. He works hard to follow up with you to see how you are doing and will get you your lab results back even if it means calling you from the office late into the evening. You have to pay for parking which isn’t ideal, but I have no complaints otherwise.
