It’s very important that if you cannot or do not want to take a job, you let the homeowner know as soon as you can. To promise a quote over several weeks and then state that you do not want the job, is very unprofessional.

Tried to get a price on having these guys plane down some raw wood. I have a little experience in working with raw natural-edge lumber, and did not have immediate answers for his questions. He sounded annoyed. I'm not going to give my business to someone that doesn't have the patience to work with someone that's not a professional in THEIR field. That's why I called them in the first place.
Not a clue. Never followed up, no return calls. Every time I called he couldn't find his notes or forgot what we had requested.
