Cafe Madrid is one of my favorite places to go. Spent quite a few special occasions there and not a small number of just because. Their wine list is exceptional, really discovered some favorites! Octopus vinaigrette, white anchovies, lamb skewers, sauteed shrimp just to name a few of the excellent flavorful items to try. Finish up with flourless chocolate cake that is so silky smooth, I don't know how they do it! Bought a whole cake once just to take it home with us. It does get busy at the usual times, make a reservation so you won't be disappointed.

Last week I was transported to Spain when I went to Cafe Madrid a beautiful Spanish restaurant right here in Dallas! The owner is a Dallasite who fell in love with Spain, their food and their culture. 30 years ago she opened this restaurant and what a gem! The ambiance, especially in the evening is perfect for a date night or a girl's night out! Pro Tip they have Flamenco dances every first Friday of the month. The service was impeccable and I tried so many different items from their menu. They specialize in Tapas which are small shareable plates. It was all so good! Our server Fernando was excellent so when you go ask for him. I am looking forward to going back soon. I have to check out their Flamenco Friday.
Called and made a reservation with Enrique. He said he'd make sure to get me a table outside even though I might have to wait a bit because it's always busy. I said ok. I got there and he was very nice and said next table up will be yours. Go to the bar and I'll let you know. My husband went outside to watch the next available table and Enrique gave it to a 4 person group THAT HAD ARRIVED AFTER US. And at THE BAR THE SANGRIA WAS NOT GOOD. Not the red and not the white. Service is good inside but Enrique plays favorites. I guess he's looking for a tip to get you a table. The food looked mediocre but I can't say for sure because I left after they gave away the next table to a larger party. I guess they thought 2 people would spend less than 4. Needless to say my money goes to good food and service. I will NEVER STEP FOOT HERE AGAIN. If they don't appreciate their customers I certainly have many more choices where to spend my money.

Always amazing food and environment! Loved the live music this past weekend when I visited Café Madrid. I have never once been disappointed in the food, drinks or staff!
