Nurse Alex Has been super sweet. Really, everyone we have met has gone above and beyond in making us feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation.

My daughter has a multitude of medical issues and like most people, we don't have a lot if places we can take her. I have been in and out of this ER many times over the last 3 years and am reminded time and again how horrible it is. Neither the doctors nor nurses in the ER will listen to the parent. They spend more time gossiping and checking out their social media at the nurses station then they do helping the patient. I have had great doctors at Children's, but the beurocracy and red tape you have to cut through to see them is absolutely ridiculous. If you dont want to help people, dont go into medicine at all.

Went to ER last Friday. Was there for 5 hours trying to get help from a neck injury that is causing my son to have constant nausea, abdominal pain, and vomit. I brought a copy of x-rays. They didn't look at them and didn't do any testing at all and pretty much told us that unless my son was dying they could not contact neurosurgery to look at my son. Horrible experience. Will never go back to that ER! Go to the location in Plano instead! They are awesome there!

Definitely worst experience I’ve had in an ER. We are STILL waiting to be seen after 7.5 hours. If it wasn’t for the fact that my son’s pediatrician said we NEEDED to be here, we would have left already. If we ever need to take our kids to an ER, we will definitely be heading Medical City.

Terrible experience, I would not recommend for emergency services. The staff at the ER make it clear that you have a choice to leave, just make sure to let them know so you sign paperwork. The nurse when asked how much longer reminds you that you are not the only one waiting and they have a smart system that tells them who needs care more and your wait could be 10 hours. We waited for over 5 hours but was told that there are other patients and our wait was not enough. It hurt me to watch my child in pain on a scale of 10 begging me to please help yet I could do nothing for them. How sad as a parent to watch your child hurt in the presence of care yet get no care. My advise is ratings speak volumes. Not again, lesson learned. Every child is special, no case is just the usual. You just never know how you impact the children. Please consider your options before going here. Your child deserves compassion, they are not business as usual. Also, it's interesting how the staff at the ER have their name tags turned around so you don't know who is who. Is policy to not display name and title so you know who is helping you?
