Obviously, KERA is the station to listen to if you like thoughtful, reasoned, calm local and NPR programming. My favorite show is Wait Wait Don't Tell Me! because it is about current affairs, but presented in a really funny way. I would also encourage you to volunteer at KERA during their pledge drives or whenever you have the time, because they do need volunteers year round. I have volunteered during the drives by taking calls and they feed you a decent breakfast or lunch for your time, plus you know you're helping a good cause. Sign up at their website and you will get emails about available opportunities.

I love NPR. However living in my area is as if god has said 28 country or gospel radio stations is not enough and one in npr is too much. Often I will stray slightly out of NPR's coverage area and immediately be met with the swift change to some honky-tonk country tunes. I wish NPR's signal was better or more robust.

NEVER give these people your mailing address, unless you enjoy a continuous stream of tree-killing junk mail. They also sell your data to the Kimball Art Museum so that they can spam you as well. No amount of pleading will make it stop.

Michael Whitaker - \I watched the universe shows that used to be on and I've recorded some and the scientists said that the Earth was moving close to the Sun one inch every year that's global warming we have no control over.\. Obviously this guy has done some research. ;) Not. Well, maybe FAUX News had a Trump environmental educational show on. Still, it used to be better. Now it's a lot of paid commercials by someone selling a book or CD about some crazy diet or money advice. These are the new \Fundraisers\. I quit giving them after I figured that they will just keep selling time to these folks. Keto diets, Suze Orman, Pain free life, etc.. Geez......how about something educational that is not an ad for a book?
