This is our go to place for any special night for our family. They have fresh ingredients and the service was superb. Their lamb chop was very tasty and tender. The baguette was the best, crispy outside and soft inside. Not every bakery can make baguette this good. really deserve 5 stars

My mom’s FAVORITE restaurant is Lavendou! We are there monthly and celebrated my mom’s 91 and 92nd Birthday there! I told my, now, 94 year old mom when she got out of COVID jail we were going to celebrate at Lavendou. That then turned into getting out of Nursing Home jail. She never made it! A week after, I hosted a tribute to my mom at Lavendou with her caregiver and my mom’s best friend. It was emotional but the staff and owner was so kind coming over to offer condolence; our wonderful waiter bringing over her favorite dessert to the table. It could not have been more intimate and memorable in addition the best food West of France. I LOVE Lavendou! Thank you.
Lavendou is a great place to sample French cuisine if you haven't had much interaction with it before. From snails to soufflés the variety is exactly what you're looking for. I stopped by and tried and few things off the menu, all of which were great, but what blew me away was the service. So many attentive staff that were beyond friendly. I'll be back in the future.
For appetizers, dessert, and wine Lavendou is excellent. Lovely French country decor. Expect Paris prices and a little of same attitude. Its ambiance, right? We have frequented here over the years with our children and out of town guests. Once I had a truly fantastic entree, a Duck confitt with crisp sliced potatoes cooked in duck fat, but it was never seen on the menu again. Last two visits the duck entree on offer has been dry and a little tough. For a proper meal, I believe the fixed menu is a good value all things considered.
It was absolutely delicious. We went for New Years Eve which was also our Anniversary and we were offered a 3 course meal. The price was excellent especially considering the quality and quantity of food received. We had the wild mushroom soup and seafood soup both were incredible. Then we had the rack of lamb and halibut both had incredible flavors and were both cooked to perfection! Then finished off with a white and chocolate cake they were the perfect ends to a perfect meal. We could not have been more pleased with our visit and will definitely be back!
