I have a 2001 chevy 3500 with the 496, after 5 hours of owning it, it began Knocking on me, called Lone star and they were really honest and gave me a fair price on a potential rebuild if too much damage is done. Will leave another review when Truck is rebuilt and picked up but so far so good!

Staff of Lone Star Engines is the best at what he does, I trust him fully. He does what he says and what more can you ask for.
Wasted Money and Time on this place, not professional at all, I’m not even mad just disappointed on how people do business and lie to their customers. Hopefully people read this and go elsewhere, just don’t want anybody else taken advantage of.
I took my 1982 GMC truck to Lone Star Engine for to have my engine rebuilt, the owner Ralph was to install a cam into my 350 long block the cam was not installed, also they had my truck there for two weeks when I pick up my truck it did not run any better, they put used worn parts, and put the same old parts back on my truck engine, then painted it red.I paid 1,700 for nothing.Took my truck to another company L.M they does fantastic work, do not and I repeat do not take your vehicle to LONE STAR ENGINE INSTALLATION! Run Forest Run!
I needed engine work on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe. I did some online research and saw that lone star engine has been in business for 30 years, and that stood out to me. I had my car towed to their shop and didn't have any problems. They said it would be 5 days, it ended up taking 8, but they were also pretty busy so I was ok with it. Bottom line, my car is running great and I am very satisfied with the work. I didn't mind waiting three extra days because I saved almost 1,500!
