Momentum Solar came to my door a few months after we bought our house. For this reason, we did not know what our usage would look like for the whole year. It was winter time and our heat runs on gas so during this time of year, our electric bill was very low, around 80. The representative made no attempt to find out the usage from the previous owner. I have been told by another company's rep that it is possible to do this. I was not aware of this at the time. Due to these facts, the company sized our system far below what we needed leaving us with a 450 electric bill in the summer with the 132 solar bill. So I knew we needed more panels. I contacted Momentum Solar about adding more panels and they created a proposal. This proposed only provided a cash option to pay. When I questioned the representative about financing, I was essentially told sorry but that's not possible. So now, my family is stuck with a greatly underpowered system unless I want to pay 20 grand outright to get to the amount of generation we need. I don't know many families capable of doing this during these hard times. In short, the company does not care enough to do the due diligence to take care of the customer and make sure their needs are met the first time around. They have left me and my family angry and unable to fix the problem. Stay away from them.

So here’s a quick story. Two weeks ago I had solar panels installed by momentum solar. Entire company is awesome I might add. Today I lost power to parts of my house. My solar panels lost power and wasn’t functioning. Two momentum solar technicians showed up within the hour and figured out it was the wiring outside from the electrical company. Oncor (electrical company) needed to replace the wiring. My wonderful advisor Schuyler (Skylar) felt bad for the inconvenience and dropped off the bottle of Champagne and gift card. In short it’s companies like this that makes it a better customer experience
Had an appt two days in a row for someone to come out and talk with me about getting solar. Both days nobody showed up and no call saying they were not coming. Both times I called them and they state they can’t find the house even after I gave directions. They don’t even call to tell you they aren’t coming. People we spoke with acted like they didn’t care so we told them we would go to another company and they acted like they did not care.
My experience with momentum solar was a scam. It's 100% scam,what I was told before the installation was totally different from what am experiencing now. My bill doubled and all what the agent that introduced me to this keep telling me now is that those panels will produce when there is enough sun,(after putting me trouble),now am paying two sources for power. (Solar and farmer electricity). I wish they should come and pack their panels and let me face farmer electricity bill only.
Do not use Momentum Solar. This company is a fraud and will mislead you into thinking you will produce more than you consume. We were guaranteed we would produce more than our annual consumption, but I noticed that this was not the case after the first month. I have had little to zero responses from this company despite my concerns about my equipment. I have emailed and requested callbacks from the appropriate parties to help address my problems, but the only answer I’ve received is telling me my system is fine. The fact that I now receive a high electric bill, even though they guaranteed I would not (or a small one), and my electric bill has DOUBLED, tells me this system is not working as promised; yet I still have not been given any assistance. The support for this company has been horrible and feels like a scam. If you are interested in solar, stay away from this company.
