This was my first experience in this store and the employees were amazing! Esme helped me, went above and beyond with giving me advice, informing me about my first pair of hiking boots. She's very knowledgeable and very patient. I was feeling rushed because it was close to closing time but she helped me feel more comfortable to stay and continue to try on and feel out my boots, instead of rushing me out, so she could leave. Preston, gave me a fun experience at the register. I appreciate conversations. Especially, again, when it's closing time and no one is rushing me out. On top of that, I'd like to apologise to Preston, because I completely forgot I hit the email receipt and I came back and asked for a print out. That was my bad, Preston! Overall, the store was clean, followed all safety precautions and most definitely made me feel welcome.

Ok I found so many things I wanted to buy. This was my first time to this location. Now granted all REIs are the same, this location was a lot easier to get to than the one that was on the 635. I spent 2 hours and walked out 204 later but was very happy with my purchases. It was the first time I saw an indoor hammock anchor system. I bought the set for 12 and installed it within 10 minutes and used my hammock. I'm going back for two more to hang my other two. The service is great, 3 different people asked if I needed help and 2 different guys helped answer my questions and even showed me what I was looking for. Now it's no secret that REI prices are not the lowest but I also believe in their quality as well as the quality of the brands they carry. One thing I didn't know is, their membership is lifetime for 20. The cashier took the time to explain it and I walked out a member. Good service, great brands, reliable quality and a good location.
I would rate this well above the current 4.4 average review, approaching perfect. I like the variety, the dividend, and to shop closeout products, both shoes and the \garage sale\ section. I have shopped at least 5 departments lately and repeated some departments and never had the same greeter, salesperson or checker. Everyone has been very friendly and given great suggestions and advice or helped identify just what I want. I have also ordered from the online REI Outlet, and find confidence that if I need to I can return product to the store. Very happy with REI overall.
The younger gentleman in the shoe department was awesome! Female working in women's section needs a career change, less than helpful. Dawn was amazing! She helped us with a lot, had fantastic advice and was beyond helpful.
Beautiful brand new store, very clean and organized. Staff very helpful.
