My husband is a cancer patient who, every Monday, has to wait in the 3rd-Floor Chemo waiting room for his chemo shot. Some days it's very crowded. Today my husband had to move away from several people who were wearing their masks below their noses. Why is this allowed? It's certainly not in keeping with the COVID policy you include with your website. Why should my husband, who has multiple myeloma and who follows all the COVID guidelines, have to adjust to those who refuse to follow them? Do these people not realize their noses are connected to their lungs, where the SARS virus likes to hang out? Somebody please explain this to me.

Honestly one of the best medical experiences I've ever had, and this was very important during a scary diagnosis. The nurses are always nice and upbeat, and they pride themselves on as short a wait time as possible. (I was used to doctor rooms where you caused no fuss and waited for hours; at Sammons they encouraged me to check with the desk after 15 or 20 minutes if not called, to be certain I wasnt missed) Bill paying is mostly stress free. They are clear that while important, you dont want to ignore payment, it is not going to keep you from receiving treatment (save a few scans, depending on the insurance and necessity, but they definitely fight for you) There is lovely music, art displays and walking paths, and outdoor balcony for cafeteria--expect a higher price but pretty sure it is standard downtown Dallas price, and quite good food. I adored the access to music and art spaces, and small library of resources, and with a quick doctor's note, free exercise room. While i currently only need to return once a month or less, it is always pleasant and only tiring as a general doctor visit or medical treatment visit. They were an extremely positive experience for me. The only occasional, but recurring, annoyance, while understandable, is with the building using both Baylor and Star, the paperwork can be delayed or need repeating due to unshared medical files. For our safety, not our sanity.

If you see no progress get out of this place. Seek a second opinion, try UT southwestern. I almost lost my dad to sarcoma. UT was amazed at the unprofessional manner they handled his case. UT Southwestern immediately put him in the ER for pain management and started from zero again. Baylor never gave us a clear explanation on anything they did. They didn't even send all his medical records. Don't take their word as final.

There are no words that can express the gratitude to Dr Truc Dao and her staff for the services they provided for a family member. Dr. Dao listened to our concerns and provided options that had not been previously provided. She is an excellent surgeon and we will always be very grateful to her and her staff. Would highly recommend!
