Roy built us the most magnificent built in cabinets and desk area. We had a bold idea and Roy brought it to life, improving the design in many ways. The quality is amazing and this is now the best feature in the whole house.

Roy is a master carpenter. He has an amazing eye and attention to detail and made my custom kitchen cabinets with soft close doors and drawers, beautifully. I will continue to use him on any project that requires carpentry. He also has a painter that sprays his work and the finish is stunning. He just redid a botched job on a bathroom vanity by a contractor in a complete bathroom remodel, wish he could have done the entire thing - Roy, do you do tile work? Ha!
The entire process with Wood Gem from concept through installation including design and construction was easy and honest. All response times were fast. Roy is friendly and pleasing to work with. There is a lot to be said for liking the people that are working in your home. The cabinets we purchased from Wood Gem are beautiful full frame cabinets with tongue and groove construction, truly top of the line. They arrived on time and installation was painless despite seriously uneven floors and beams surrounding the cabinets. Roy help us with the design to make sure the overall kitchen design would minimize the unevenness of our kitchen. He was thorough, has a great understanding of the product which one could expect but he also repeatedly demonstrated patience and the ability to quickly adjust and adapt to changing needs. Roy went above and beyond for us. A special thank you to Roy for outstanding professionalism and amazing customer service The price compared to other cabinet companies could not come close for this level of quality and service. We are so proud of our new kitchen. We couldn’t be happier with the aesthetics, function and structural integrity of our new cabinets. Roy just completed a second carpentry job for me and it turned out beautifully! He is truly a master carpenter-- and just as important is super-communicative, and provides professional drawings. I highly recommend him!
Roy was a pleasure to talk and work with. We had a small custom project and Roy took the time to talk through it with me. The end result was that we both decided it didn't make sense to do a custom cabinet and we ended up with a different solution. I respect the fact that Roy doesn't push to make the sale if it's not the right thing to do for the customer.
