I don't normally give reviews...but here we go. What we ate. Spanish octopus.... appetizer Octopus is my favorite protein. The plate came out and looked amazing. Sadly the octopus was over cooked and chewy. At this point I asked the server what the green dots were because it tasted like pure fish sauce and for me I don't want my octopus to taste fishy. After he blew me off I didn't not see him again for the rest of the meal. Ahi tuna tartar... appetizer Looked nice and was assembled table side. ( it felt like a time warp going back to the 80s) this could have used some salt. Mostly was ok but the they served it with white bread toast points! White bread! Like wonder bread... thin flavorless white bread. Sea Bass with miso... The sea bass was cooked beautifully... Sadly the rice on the dish was crunchy... crunchy rice! At a fine dinning experience. Ya missed.. Lobster pot pie cut and assembled table side again felt like a time warp. Lobster was dreadfully over cooked and everything else in the pot pie was under cooked. This is while we sat there with no water and not a server in sight.... My wife and I waited for a few minutes with my napkin on my plate with nothing to drink... And this is when we got up and told the hostes we would like to pay so we could leave... Cleary we were not happy and I feel the manager was used to this because she asked no questions about our meal... This is not ok... first whom ever is standing at the pass allowing over and under cooked food to go out is Cleary not doing his or her job. As for the manager and FOH if u don't do what u can to fix an issue before they leave u loose customers... This place needs some training and proper sous and management.... I was super excited to eat here and sadly left mad and unfulfilled of the promise of a fine dinning experience... The bill was 250 with out the tip. Still tipped but what a waist... Don't make the same mistake I did eat somewhere else.

The service is just lovely. I felt special from the moment I walked in. I got suggestions on drinks and chose to challenge the bartender. I got a drink that was great. The food is spectacular! The bread and starters are flavorful and unique. Black truffle risotto special was so delicious!!! I then got the stake and it was amazing! Potato puree was to die for! Didn't really like the truffle Mac n cheese in comparison to the truffle risotto.
u003cEdit\u003e Been back in twice recently and the service has been really disappointing, minus 1 Star \u003e It's right up there in comparison to the best restaurants in all the SoCal. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Orange County. It's really worth the splurge.
What a fabulous restaurant! Gorgeous setting overlooking the Monarch Beach golf course and the Pacific Ocean. Excellent service and the food was delicious. I ordered the black cod which was among the best I've ever eaten, and my husband had the filet mignon which was perfectly prepared. For a starter, our waiter, Zach, recommended the squash blossom which was incredible. The menu is seasonal and locally sourced so everything tastes fresh and original. It is a bit expensive, but worth the price. The service is attentive, but not overbearing. We will be back.

This place has the worst Chilaquiles I have ever tasted definitely an insult to Mexican food. Where do I begin they use the wrong chips they use green salsa which is not a bad idea but you need to roast the tomatillos The salsa is water down and flavorless for 22 a plate they need to step up their game and hire or consult a Mexican chef or remove this item from the menu. After returning my Chilaquiles I went a different direction I ordered a omelette which I have to say was delicious. At the end of our meal the waiter asked me if you don't mind me asking what was the problem with your first dish and I told them you the wrong chips the salsas water down there's no flavor to it and definitely missing salt his reply was you're not the first person to tell me that. So why would you continue serving those garbage?
