We began attending St. Maurice in 1970; became active in 1972 when we moved closer. We were SO proud of our FAMILY OF THE STABLE. These days, with the Church having moved away, we often drive the distance to \feel family\. My husband, hard of hearing anyway, can neither hear nor understand our Haitian pastor. It is special to see familiar faces. My most meaningful travel is visiting projects abroad, that were once connected with the Saint Maurice Hunger Program. It continues to be No1 in my heart.

The Altar has a banner \All Are Welcome.\ It is not just a slogan.

Saint Maurice at Resurrection Church is a combination of two churches, St. Maurice Church and Resurrection Church. St. Maurice Church was founded in 1970 on donated land that was once Smith's Stables. The church became known The Church of the Stable because the church was created from a horse barn and the exterior looked like a stable. Through the years the church grew and provided a day care and preschool for the community. On April 26th, 2014 St Maurice into it's current location, an framed church in Dania Beach where they became known as St Maurice at Resurrection Catholic Church. The Church of the Resurrection of our Lord, was founded in 1958 and started by 450 families who didn't have a dedicated church building so they met in various locations for mass. In 1963 they moved to an A frame church. In 2009, the Church of the Resurrection of our Lord closed their doors and merged with St. Maurice. This church is close to the airport so if you are traveling and in need of a Catholic church this church is nearby. They also conduct service in English, Spanish or French from October through April. I only visited to attend a rummage sale but I love all churches. This is a lovely Catholic church providing services to the community of Dania Beach and the travelers passing through.

Beautiful setting, uplifting mass and homilies by the priest during these difficult times.
