Dr. Whang is great, very professional and efficient. However, the reception staff is very unprofessional and needs to be trained better. They made the experience almost not worth it.

Instead of helping me get my glasses they wouldn't bill me for 5.00 so I could get my glasses! My incurance paid 6 hundred and something dollars and they still was worried about 5.00 So I had to go all the way back home and come back
If you’re looking for children’s glasses, go somewhere else! We dropped our son’s frames off just before Thanksgiving to have new lenses put in. Mid-December, we received a call that the glasses were in, but had the wrong prescription. They came back in on January 15, 2021. Luckily, we took our son to the ophthalmologist the following week because she examined the lenses and discovered they were still the wrong prescription. The office staff has been unpleasant and unapologetic through this entire experience.
I called at 11.58am to book an appointment as a first time patient. The girl on the phone took my name, DOB and then put me on hold for 8.5 minutes. After that Leslie picked up and VERY unprofessionally told me to call back since they are on their break now. First of I didn’t know they close for their lunch break as I was a new patient and second why was I put on hold for AFTER getting my information? And lastly why is Leslie answered the phone if she was on her lunch break? Leslie was very rude in giving her information and her office manager’s name. Safe to say if that’s their customer service I’m glad I didn’t get to book an appointment.
I am new patient and my family kid and wife already patient with this office year ago. My experience combined was horrible. I have an appointment with the office, when arrived the receptionist told me that someone came before you earlier and can’t take you today!!! Told her are you sending me home! She said yes. Told her this is rude and i will move my wife and kid outside to other office, she said that’s fine!! My experience, even if the doctor professional or not, receptionist must behaved, responsible and have problem solving skills. Because of her response, Dr. Whang’s office lost 3 patients. And maybe more if others read the reviews. 0 recommendations, Be carful.
