This place is a great place to learn more about what happened during the witch hysteria events of 1692. The guide we had was very well informed and did her best to help us see beyond the typical stereotypes that often accompany any discussion on the topic. I really appreciated what she had to say about the people involved. The house is a lovely example of many of the homes typical of the 17th century. The property also encompasses a replica of the Salem Village Meetinghouse at the time of the trials.

ONLY OPEN MAY THROUGH NOVEMBER. The Nurse homestead is only open May through November, a fact which is not mentioned on Google but *is* mentioned on the website for the homestead. I tried to make edits to the stated hours of the place but there's no way to block off a whole range of months, so I tried to edit the name of the place adding \Open May through November\ --a change which will probably be rejected. I'm giving four stars, but I didn't even make it onto the property.

This was a great place to stop. They offer a guided tour a couple times per day. Our tour guide Dan was great. He went over the history of Rebecca Nurse and the trials. He answered all our questions and made it an enjoyable stop. This was a nice change of pace from the typical commercialized witch stuff in Salem.
