While a bit off the main road, the Danville Welcome Center has a wealth the of local knowledge and information. The folks who staff the center are very friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking for cars and a separate lot for tractor trailers. Worth the time for a visit.

Always clean restrooms. Low supply of hand soap and toilet paper. But aside from that a good place to pull off the highway. Lighting is good.

These nice kids graciously gave me a tennis ball. At first I was quite excited by this so, naturally, I wanted to play catch with my friends. This fun time would soon turn sour when I threw the ball to my friend and, to my utter shock, that ball soured over his head and down the mountain! Now I am without a ball which has made me quite sad. Would not recommend.

As a local, I have grave suspensions that this place isn’t quite what it seems. I have strong reason to believe that this “welcome center” is actually a cover for the mafia. The first thing that lead me to this conclusion is the “dog walking area”(pictured below) that I am 99.7% sure is a low budget grave yard. The second is the fact that there are multiple children imprisoned in the “snack area”(also pictured)?!???? Also why all the garbage, what could a “welcome center” possibly have to throw away in such quantities beside...I don’t know...I don’t want to know!!! If you go here be careful, that’s all I can say.

Stopped at the Danville Welcome Center to use their public restrooms. They were sparkling clean. Perhaps they were the cleanest I have ever seen. Well done Danville.
