Picked up Christmas dinner at Palmers, dinner was great. The red velvet cake was stale to the point we had to throw it out. The cream cheese icing was not cream cheese icing, it was what tasted like lard or grease. Disgusting. I won't be using their bakery ever again.

A great town staple. They do an incredible job providing organic and sustainable foods from around the country and world. They have a great selection of beverages and craft beers. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great shopping experience at a good cost. My hats off to the owners and family. Support your local small businesses.

Orderd beef wellington and scalloped potatoes for my bfs bday. Soooooo good!!! The wellington is full of flavor and the potatoes are incredible. Its such a decadent meal, perfect for a celebration! Thank you catering team!

Terrible judgement and customer service. I ordered a couple pastry/cookie trays be delivered to a VIP client for my boss. They dropped off the trays on the front porch without coordinating the delivery and left perishable food on their front porch in 90 degree weather although I provided them the phone number to coordinate. When I called to ask about it, the person in the bakery and even the manager were callous and rude to me, and told me I would have to repay if I wanted new trays dropped off. Since they had been sitting there for hours and I didn't want our client getting ill, I just told them to pitch the 100 worth of bakery in the trash. If you walk in and purchase from this bakery, maybe it's good, but I will never use them again, and would not trust them to handle something like this. I had Edible Arrangements, that also has cookies and bakery items now, in addition to their dipped fruits, deliver them a couple trays the next day, and it was handled as it should be. It even states on the bottom of the receipt for Edible Arrangements, that they may call to coordinate delivery, leave with a neighbor, or have to redeliver. The workers here also need some instruction on customer service and tact in how to handle situations. Thumbs down on my experience here.

We are so thrilled that we found Palmer’s Bakery in Darien to make our wedding cake. They were outstanding to work with from the beginning of the process all the way to the end. They were prepared for us when we went in for our tasting and had ideas to share with us. We landed on a Funfetti cake that truly captured the fun we wanted our guests to have at our reception. Their final cake exceeded our expectations, and our guests still talk about it. They not only loved how it looked, but they also LOVED how it tasted. I highly recommend Melissa and Palmer’s. They are awesome!
