Used to go up there quite a bit. Now that it has become more popular, there is a lot of trash on the roads and at the knob. It's a fun trip up and down though. Not terribly challenging, but you can find some spots to test your 4wd. I have done Union, 85A and Dunkle on the bike. Amusing to see the reviews that say 4x4 is required. 1wd on street tires was fine in all but the muddy spots. Never needed 4wd in the Jeep, although the rear had a locker. Pic of the bike at the peak. One each of the bike and jeep on the way up.

Been here a couple times and have taken all 3 routes to the to top. Great views and fun offroading if you have a capable vehicle. Union springs is the toughest, duncle hollow is a little rough but easily done with most stock vehicles with ground clearance. There is also a fire road up the side closest to reddish know that is very easy.
Absolutely awesome, you can take a leak anywhere. In all seriousness, great place to go. Be warned that this isn't a place to go in your AWD Pathfinder, you need a truck or SUV with 4WD to come up the easiest path from Reddish Knob, and a jeep to come up the other two ways by 33. Great adventure, awesome jeep trails and some awesome camping spots. Just don't look down
Such a fun little ride with plenty of options for camping and alternate trails.
Great off-road trail we had lot of fun..!
