We had very bad experience with Dead River. First time we had a heat issue, the room was too cold. they sent a contractor who fixed it temporarily. But in the following weekend when we were there again, the house was not warm enough. We called them again and they sent a different contacted who charged us 1.5 hour while he only worked there for about 40 minutes. The worst part was he said we needed to replace some water pumps and wolves which would cost us 2000, mostly due to expensive parts. We checked the similar parts and the price in Home Depot is sightly higher than 100, we started to have concerns about Dead River’s service, both professional knowledge and pricing. Then we called another company to get the second opinion and they told us the heating system worked fine. No need to replace anything. The “cold room “ issue was because we did not keep the heat on long enough. We only stayed there for weekends and it took longer time to bring it up to the desired temperature. We just needed to learn how to use the new heating system. The heat has been working fine since then. We are so glad we called another company and avoided unnecessary 2000 spending.

The review by Tom Smith was extremely helpful. I chose not to call them!

We ran out of oil a week ago. We prepaid 400 for oil. We were told we would have oil delivered the next day. At this time we have called Dead River Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, promises, no delivery. At this time Dead River has stolen our money. We have no oil. Go to a different oil company. We will never do business with them again. Thankfully it is not the winter. Tom Smith Senior Facilities Manager University of New Hampshire
