I wish I could help evaluate the issue here. I’m sure they are busy but something is wrong with this system. Somewhere someone is dropping the ball. I can help if I knew where to start. It’s very simple to do. Simply track the flow and see where the holdups are. Find ways to improve. Be the winner! Please, someone look at this issue!

The least efficient government office. Office has been closed since covid 19. While the whole world is functioning at some level, this office has been closed. Businesses are suffering. No one responds to emails or phone calls. Very disappointing. Something needs to be done to make this more functional.

Simply the worst.... No Stars When you ask them for updates, they do not respond; give you the run around and then completely ignores you. Applied for business license, 3 months and still waiting. No updates, and when you call, they just tell you the application is in progress, you should just wait. No indication of where along the process is your application, what's the hold up, NOTHING- NO INFORMATION; super frustrating. I regret my attempt at starting a business here in Dekalb. If this continues, new businesses will not come to this COUNTY. HORRIBLE and DISCOURAGING experience! I am so disappointed, I really expected more from Dekalb.

I would like to give zero star if there is any option. I applied business license Octorber 24th and I am still waiting for it. They just do pre screening and not even looking at my application. I have got an email in November from one lady that they are asking me to provide paper application even though I have applied it on epermitting. I have filed out the paper application and it is just same as epermitting application. There is no place to upload the documents they want. I called them and asked then about how to upload the file. One person gave me an email address and I sent the email attached paper application. After that, nothing happen. I called more than 10 times. Customer service people always said they are working on it. What they are working on? They are working at home and do nothing. Office is closed since March. I have been there few times to complain but it is closed. I would like to file a law sue this government if any bad things happen. Nobody in business license office has responsibility. I know you guys are not working at home and just relaxing and get free money from tax that is paid by public. You guys will see how pubic people can react if anything goes wrong with people who have business in Dekalb County. Mayor of Dekalb county should know what is going on with employees in Dekalb County too. HQ of Police office, HQ of fire marshal, sentation ,sewer, water shield department are all closed to public. Do you think this is right? Only I got help from a department was health department. They are only one has responsibility in Dekalb County. You should be shame on you, your job and what you are doing for the government. Nobody appreciates you and will create the problems soon.

I applied for my business license in April 2020 and submitted all documents and payment before May 2020. At this time (almost October) I still have not received my business license via mail or email and I have called a million times with broken promises that NOTHING more was needed from me and that my license would be processed.. I am highly disappointed and really wish that this department is internally revamped to assist business owners in a more professional capacity.
