The county did a good service and was professional. However, I do wish they would add more staff and process or mail permits quicker during this time. They have a hard time meeting demand. Currently no marriage ceremonies are happening. But that is because of covid...not because of them. Still, I would like to see them ramp up.

I am always in and out of probate court in less than an hour. They are friendly, fast and efficient. The elevators are now hands free with sanitizer stations everywhere.

I applied for a Weapons Carry License in July 2020. With all that is going on with COVID-19, the appointments are backed up and you can’t get in until 2 - 3 months after submitting an application. I had an appointment scheduled today and because my license had a PO Box listed, I could not complete the process. When the representative called me to schedule my appointment, I asked if I didn’t have any utility bills in my name, would my cable bill be acceptable. I was told yes only to waste time going to the courthouse today and be told it’s not acceptable. I was then informed I would need to get my address updated to my physical address and I could proceed then. As I mentioned earlier the appointments are very spaced out and if I had known this information prior to today, I would’ve rectified that in July. The clerk stated if I got my license updated I could come back today, however, the DDS is by appointment only and they know you can’t get a same day appointment. I was able to get an appointment for Wednesday 9/16, to get my license updated. When I went in to reschedule my appointment for the weapons carry license, the next available date is 12/24/2020. Now I’m forced to wait an additional 3 months because of misinformation from the staff. It seems the government is very nonchalant and gives poor customer service which is not okay.
