Nice shop with great prices and a nice selection of men and women’s clothes, shoes etc. There are also housewares, framed art, jewelry, purses and unique finds. I like the way the store is organized nothing is thrown about and it has a boutique feel that is welcoming. It makes shopping pleasant. Staff were nice and helpful. One of the main reasons I gave it a try at first was the money all goes to help support a local animal shelter but I will return again because it is also a great shop.

Thrifty Cat is the thrift store that goes to support the charity, Animal Aid. Founded in 1999 and incorporated in 2001, Animal Aid's building is located in Oakland Park. They are a non profit pet rescue, adoption center, and clinic supported completely by donations. They go into high kill shelters and rescue as many dogs and cats as they can that only have a day or two to live before they are euthanized. They are able to find homes for 1,400 dogs and cats every year and they spray and neuter more than 5,000 dogs and cats every year. They also provide more than 12,000 low cost vaccines to people who couldn't otherwise afford them. They are one of the few animal rescues with their own clinics so they can take in animals with medical conditions that other rescues cannot. I have taken stray cats to them in the past for spay and neutering and given to them when possible so they can continue rescuing animals who are out of time. These people are true animal angels in our community so I was happy to discover their thrift store. The thrift store is located around the corner from one of my favorite lunch places, The Pickle Barrel. The store is narrow but there is two rooms and a hallway filled with household goods, collectibles, jewelry, clothes, art, and pet supplies. Everything is in very nice condition and is priced to sell. The two ladies running the store during my visit were the sweetest. I want to spread the word about this amazing organization and their cute store. Donate, buy, and support this wonderful group of people who take every penny they get, stretch it, and use it to save the lives of our furry friends.
