I had such a great experience with this team. Not only did they do an amazing job but they are good people. Rich is very personable, trustworthy, with an amazing work ethic. His team is hardworking and I was so impressed with how quickly and diligently they worked. Rich exceeded my expectations on every aspect of the job from setting the appointment to completion in a very timely manner. I am beyond satisfied and highly recommend this company. We had a jungle of an acre in Pollock Pines, CA plus PG&E had cut down several trees and left the logs. They gave a fair bid and good communications. Richard and his crew came in and in 2 days had it looking like a park. Very highly recommend them! Would give 10 stars.

Defensible Space Systems' Richard Carvalho and his crew did a terrific job creating defensible space in our Common Area and cutting out the dense poison oak. They are hard workers and the masticator is a beast! It takes out debris and unwanted growth with amazing power and speed. While the masticator takes care of larger swaths, the crew does the fine work and was careful to cut around plants we wished to keep. Richard’s many years of working for CalFire gives him first hand knowledge of how fire moves through an area and how best to slow it down. DSS is easy to work with and they try to accommodate the various issues we have with balancing fire safety, healthy forest, and esthetics.

Just had these guys clear 10 acres of manzanita and greasewood from our property in Shingle Springs. Why didn't I hire them years ago? My family and I spent countless weekends working on cutting, stacking, and burning piles of brush. These guys cam in and killed it fast!!!
