Do not rent from this Karen. She was circling the property constantly counting how many people were on the property and kept threatening to call code enforcement and cops. I had instacart drop groceries off and she asked the delivery guy if it was a weed delivery. Who does that??? She kept threatening eviction.
We've repeatedly been to the 'Pumpkin House' in Portland, OR. It's truly nestled in a quiet location yet close to everything you need (even public transit, which is a bit of a surprise being that it's in the hills of SW Portland). Kimberly goes above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need. It's definitely kid and pet friendly! My favorite spot is sitting on the covered porch for lunch while it's raining. Lots of good food near by too. You must go to Salvador Molly's for lunch or dinner..omg soooo gooood and a fun pirate themed place the kids will get a kick out of. For us adults well...you can get lost in their giant cocktails. I love the little natural foods co-op to get all our special dietary needs at. There's a longterm renter that lives on the south-side of the house and you would NEVER know they exist because their entrance is private (basically they live over the garage). Really nice people and they respect your privacy. The spa is tucked away so the neighbors aren't staring at you while you're relaxing. I can't think of any 'cons' about the stay. You may laugh a little (like I did) upon arrival when you see all the labels and instructions posted. It leads me to believe, they must have had to deal with many dumb humans that can't figure out how to find utensils in the kitchen? LOL.. (if those labels were in braille then I'd be seriously impressed). It only makes me shake my head in wonderment, "what do the owners of vacation rentals have to deal with to have to go to that kind of extreme with instructions?" The staff is quite helpful, I did run into a technical internet glitch and one of the managers literally pulled over while driving to give me passwords etc (which I could have waited) but she was insistent that I be taken care of. Customer service is . We'll be back at some point. (oh and p.s. the photos DO actually look like the house)
