There's no way to give 4.5 stars so I'll just give it a 4. It's the best concrete floor I've ever skated on. The reason I would have given it a 4.5 out of 5 is because it doesn't have a wood floor and its a bit on the small side. Again, this is not the average concrete floor. The owner keeps the floor in great condition because they host speed practice and competitions. Not only does the floor provide grip, it seems to encourage you to push the limits of your wheels with its amazing tolerance for high speeds. I'm not sure what the long term affect on longevity would be for harder wheels if you skated this floor every week, but if you have harder wheels and you're just visiting this rink to check it out, you'll be fine. Their sound system seems like it could handle more than what they were giving it. The music seemed to be a bit low, especially as you move away from the center of the floor, but the music wasn't distorted at all. It doesn't seem like they get many shuffle skaters there so they tend to play a lot of Top40. On the upside, if you make a request, they'll play songs you can skate to! Again, this is the best concrete floor I've ever been on and the staff are a great group of people. If you see Brun, tell him the Quad City Rollers sent you!

I'm not a roller rink expert by any means. I just wanted to note that their rental skates are in bad shape. I don't think maintenance is ever done on them. I had to exchange my first ones because they were so warn they were pulling in opposite directions and it was difficult to skate straight. My second pair were a bit better. Its an old place and it shows. The snack bar is regular frozen stuff reheated. Its a cheap outing for some fun. The kids looked like they were loving it.
Had a recent party and it was a disaster, my family and I always thru parties here before but this time they really messed things up, Not enough seating because they allowed the previous party to remain seated during our food time, Pizza's were too late (end of party), some burnt and some not fully done. Then the owner attended us personally and said he does not offer any compensation but would take care of it, which he didn't and when we complained he just got frustrated and ignored the situation. Unprofessional Our family decided never again
My family has been to this rink about 7 times in the past several months and we love it! The staff is very friendly, the rental skates aren't brand new but definitely useable. We are going to have our childrens birthday parties there because we have a blast every time we go and the kids talk about it for days afterwards.
