Tad did the pre-buy inspection on an LSA airplane before I bought it. His pre-buy inspection report found no problems at all and he deemed it a perfect airplane. Upon closing on the plane, I discovered countless problems. Then I turned it over to a highly reputable service center and the plane has been there for the past 3 months with a never ending growing list of squawks a mile long. Every day, they discover another problem. Tad’s pre-buy inspection was so slipshod that I would say it’s borderline criminal given that I relied on the pre-buy when determining whether I was purchasing a clean airplane or not. Full disclosure: By the Tad invoiced me for his pre-buy inspection, I was aware of many issues he hadn’t spotted and therefore did not pay his invoice. Rightfully so given his failure to conduct a legitimate pre-buy inspection has resulted in well over ten thousand dollars in unanticipated repair costs. I am posting this review in hopes that other pilots who consider him for a pre-buy do not rely on him to ensure you’re buying a clean airplane.
