I get that this place has history and is supposedly authentic, but that's not good enough. To get a Philly with a decent amount of meat you have to get a Sizemore (double meat). I had the sweet peppers on the side and they had a bitter aftertaste. Not nearly enough cheese. I would say though that the bites that I had with sufficient meat were good. I normally only eat out to get something better than I can make at home. This place just doesn't have it. It also has a dive bar kind of feel in that is it a bit run down and dirty.

Known for their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. It is good, maybe the best in Austin but if they don’t offer whiz to me it’s not the real thing. Staff lacked professionalism/friendliness which makes me think ok these guys are from Philly so that checks a box for sure. I’ll be back for the sandwich again. Would recommend to friends and introverts.
A staple in Austin for the past 40 years, Delaware Subs is one of the best places in Austin for a Philly Cheesesteak or a meatball sub! Friendly staff. Our orders have always been correct with little wait time. The food is always fresh & the portions are plentiful!
This is a last of an Austin institution. The only place in the south to get the perfect Philly cheese sandwich. The Sizemore is even better. It's a Philly cheesesteak but more!
