During my first attempt to get sober my family called healing properties, hoping for me to get admitted. Having just gone through detox I felt confident that I was fine on my own; two months later I accepted that I could not do this alone. When my family called again, they remembered them and promptly found a place for me. As a shy, minimally social person I was terrified when I got there but soon after, I had found a community of people who were accepting and age gone through similar experiences as myself. Every manager and resident are committed to your recovery as well as their own. A few months later I left sober of mind and body, knowing that I would genuinely miss this place and the people within. Even in the recovery capital of the world, HP stands as one of the greatest and most effective places to get sober.

Jun, will go above and beyond to help any guy that comes through. This facility has helped me in all areas of my life . The fellowship is amazing as well. I've made some life long friends . This is a great place to get sober, I have tried getting sober from different half way houses with no success. This place truly values your recovery and strives to give the best opportunity to get sober. This half way house truly cares and instills working the twelve steps. I have tried living sober in many other half way houses with no success until coming to healing properties.
In April 2015, I was leaving my second treatment center at the time, and I felt beaten, hopeless, and confused. I thought I had everything under control and did not know how I let it go to this point again. A college drop out, and a drug addict, I literally had no sense of direction and no idea where my life was going. A therapist at my treatment center recommended Healing Properties and by that point I was willing to do whatever it took to just get my life back on track. It ended up being the best decision I made in my life. Healing Properties welcomed me with open arms and I almost immediately felt a connection with some tenants at the property at the time. I started building relationships through laughter and fellowship. We all had something in common here; we all wanted to achieve long term sobriety. Healing Properties urged me to immediately get a sponsor and start on the steps, which ultimately allowed me to start a relationship with a Higher Power. Looking back, I can't believe how low I let myself go before I finally became willing enough to just turn myself over to this program. I was always told that I could do anything if I put my mind to it, but my alcohol and drug problem was something I realized I would never be able to control off my own willpower. What started off as shame and disappointment because of my addiction, turned into humbleness and gratefulness because my addiction got me down to South Florida where I was able to build a strong relationship with God and other people in my life, where we help each other grow emotionally and spiritually. Healing Properties and all the tenants showed me how to be a responsible human being again, how to love again, and the importance of carrying certain principles out in all my affairs, and for that I am forever grateful.
The only place I was able to get sober. Upon admitting to Healing Properties, I was welcomed with open arms. It was the first time I ever walked into a treatment center where the other patients were sober and actually HAPPY. You cannot begin to replicate the spirit of brotherhood that I experienced both while I was in treatment at Healing Properties, and in the time since as I've been involved in the Alumni program here. The therapists and all staff are truly caring and dedicated to helping men recover from alcoholism and addiction.
