So beautiful. Very hot but such a great soak!

Very interesting if a little hard to find. If you are considering stopping here, add Baltazor Hot Spring to your itinerary. It is just a little north and right off State Highway 104. While you are in the vicinity of either keep an eye out for shards or small pebbles of obsidian...volcanic glass.

Definitely a hot spring with temp from 103 to 112 degrees. Very primitive. Be prepared before going out

I think I'd give closer to 3.5 stars if it were an option. The area is remote, but don't expect privacy as there were lots of people there. Several unleashed and barking dogs diminishing the experience for those looking for a peaceful respite, so if that's the goal, I suggest looking elsewhere. People aside, the area is what you'd expect from a desert climate - flat and dusty. The spring if of course the highlight, but limited soaking areas and at least when I was there, they were all occupied. Oh, and windy. The wind was so strong it nearly sent the tent to the land of Oz when trying to take it down, but that might have been an unusual condition. Your mileage may very! There were signs on the nearby highway saying watch for crossing burros, which seemed almost like a joke ... until we actually saw some wild burros. That was fun!

Beautiful spot with an amazing view of the sunset! We have been there several times over the last few months... my daughter did get a bunch of bites a couple of weeks ago from what the locals called "red bugs" but that didnt stop her from wanting to go!

Great remote area! Stayed two nice because that naturally flowing hot water is just too good. Big rigs and low clearance vehicles should be fine back here. Only 2 other vehicles there the entire time we were there, only interacted with the one and they were a lovely couple that were fun to hang with!

Area is so pretty. Rugged desert. Water is hot and nice. We didnt see any mites or have any bites. Was crowded but you can find a spot to camp or soak. Clean ip after yourself and others.
