Whether the experience is easy or hard doesn't mean it isn't helpful. These people worked hard to fix me as a person. Did I enjoy the process? Of course not. But am I better today?

My officer, Emanuel Rosalez, does nothing but try to help me as long as I'm doing what I agreed to do when I signed for probation in the first place. If you're on here blasting Denton County, you may want to take a look at it. I have received nothing but respect, resources, and positive encouragement. If you can't do the time, quit committing crimes!

Based on my observation and with one supervision officer in particular in mind, yes it is a probation office so no one likes it. However, it seems to be an office of incompetent disgruntled govt employees simply there for a check/benefits. Harsh generalization I know. Only one person of the four I have encountered here seems to have even a basic level of education and common sense or practicality. That same person seemed to enjoy their job and truly want to help the people who have found themselves in this office. In terms of attitude, they like many others within the criminal justice system seem too have the same rose colored glasses not evaluating individuals based on who they are such as a 1st time or minor offender but rather treat every one as if they are some sort of career criminal. They don't seem well versed with actual state laws but rather what they have heard or have been instructed to do and they will force you to have to go to court to get the judge to do things they are empowered to do. It's really quite unfortunate, but it is what I've seen here in this particular office.
