I went in for a false diagnosis by my OBGYN for postpartum depression. They will scare you and threaten you to the best of their ability in order to get you admitted to an inpatient care facility. Even without doing a psychiatric evaluation. Don't listen to that bologna. I was distressed and upset and they took advantage of that in order to get a nice bonus off of me by ecommending\me for inpatient care. Oh but UBH (which is where I ended up going) wasnt shy to let me know they get bonuses for referring people. Then the hospital told me the only way I could get there to UBH was by ambulance which is actually against Texas Law. My husband wanted to drive me at the very least and they wouldnt let him saying an ambulance was required. This is so they can charge 1100 for the ride. It was 11 minutes btw. This place is a joke. The corruption in this place makes the good doctors out there look bad. They make the entire medical field look bad. I was a new mother who lost the 3rd week of her newborn sons life thanks to these uncaring doctors. &they did not care one bit if I had someone to take care of him while I was gone. Only that they got me into a facility and got their nice bonus money. If you're a mother period. I highly recommend you stay away from this place.

I have suffered with Chronic Migraines for 6 years and as the pain has continued to get worse, my neurologist ordered a Spinal Tab. I was nervous but Texas Presbyterian in Denton was wonderful. The radiologist, Dr. Pike (* I think that was his name) was so nice and did a wonderful job. He made it as quick and painless as possible. The nurse, Karrie, was the best nurse I’ve ever had. She was SO sweet. Kept my mind off of things and was just overly kind. They gave me warm blankets throughout the morning and provided some snacks. When lunch time came around, a nurse stepped in for my nurses and she was awful. She was cold, rude, mean and moking. She talked down to me and invalidated me, when I don’t think she had even read my chart based on her explaining what a headache is and that I don’t need meds, just caffeine (again- I suffer with chronic migraines 24-7). She was just a bad Apple. Other than her, they were great.

Dr. Harris is the worst doctor ever. I know the Healthcare industry is overwhelmed. This doctor joked about my situation. The nurse didn't come into the room to check on me what so ever. It's like they don't want to do their job anymore. They will let patients die. I've seen this for myself. They are doing the bare minimum as possible. They want no contact with patients. I wish I could given them a zero. The health industry can't be trusted anymore to save lives.

They got me a room and a nurse within minutes, and a doctor in a few more. Diagnosed and treated me promptly, and the treatment resolved both the symptoms and the underlying problem -which could quickly have become life-threatening- while keeping medical intervention to a minimum. I picked up my prescriptions from a kiosk in the lobby, very affordably, without using my health insurance. I’m not sure how the hospital affords that but I’m sold!

The nurses are very friendly and attentive. They truly seem to care especially Rose. If this review was solely on bedside care it would be a 5 star review but it's not. ****Helpful Tip: If you notice you are the only one sitting there for a long time (like everyone around you have been discharged and so have others who showed up after you have too) go ask what happened. For my most recent trip to the ER, it was pretty busy. It seemed like everyone was getting efficiently checked in, vitals taken and called back for care, everyone except me. I am being charged a \Level 5 exam emergency department\ which is the highest level of emergency. I was there from 4pm to 11pm. I was called back around 10:00 pm for the needed testing and was told they didn't have a room ready at the moment but someone was in the process of being discharged. Finally at 10:30 I was fed up with waiting asked when I would be seen. They said they don't have record of me on the current list, but can see that my name was called and with no response. I asked what time they called my name and it was at the same time that the testing was taken place. They said the only option would to be placed 3rd on the list. They took my vitals and I waited. The time that it took from being called back, seem by the doctor, and discharged was 10 minutes. My bill is 1400 after insurance, over 5000 before. I waited 7 HOURS for only maybe 20 minutes of actually being seen.
