Can’t say enough good things about Departure. From the food and the staff to the ambiance, this place crushes it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the food is incredible and restaurant itself feels cool without being pretentious. Scallops and short rib are all stars and the chicken wings might be the best in town. We had a party of twelve and they handled it like pros. The space works really well for large parties. Enough space to feel comfortable and still be able to hear everyone without feeling like you need to shout. We had some questions about the sake menu and the staffs recommendations were on point. Great experience all around.

Great spot for breakfast. Cherry creek location. On the trendy side. Trendy location. But nice atmosphere for breakfast in the summer. Big door open to the outside. Few patio tables. Fast friendly and attentive service. Food was great. We had spinach bacon omelette and French toast. Coffee wasn’t my favorite but it’s personal pref. French toast was best!!
The food really exceeded my expectations. Everything had great flavor, and was well prepared. I had the fried chicken dish for brunch which was stellar, but unfortunately the picture turned out blurry. Only thing I would change is taking the basil off of the pancakes. I love seasoning and herbs but that flavor does not belong. A bite of basil with those throws off the whole flavor profile of the dish. Still a great experience and really helpful staff. Parking wasn't to hard to find on a Sunday morning around 10am and the metered spots are free on Sundays.
Moderately upscale place. Other customers were in fashion clothes vs our denim. Very crowded for a weeknight. Had to negotiate a 45 min table space. Took it, and food arrived quickly in succession. I liked the scallops and sushi, and the coconut ice cream desert hit the spot. Parking in the area can be tough. If you have a reservation, plan on 15-20 mins of driving around looking for a spot. Was playing moderately loud Euro club music when we were there.
Departure was amazing!!! Best birthday lunch in all my years. My only regret is not being there for dinner and my being able to meet the chef. Maybe next time.
Every course was delightful starting with the fried tempura shrimp roll with its perfect crunch. Each plate was cooked to perfection and the flavors were fresh and bright. My octopus was tender and lovely just as it should be. We will be back again. 5 stars. And The ice cream was a delightful ending to a great meal.
I love departure the atmosphere is amazing. Pecking Duck during the Holidays is also something I look forward too. The food is very Flavorful. Chef Taylor one of the best chefs I’ve met. The roof Top bar is also really fun in the summer time!
Absolutely outstanding!!!! We enjoyed everything we had. The sushi is delicious, the tuna poke is incredible. Loved to cocktails as well. Will definitely be going back.
