I have always enjoyed star kitchen with it's variety and quality of offerings. I am thrilled they are open. This was the first time I've visited before 1130 and found that the dim sum hadn't had time to heat properly. It luke warm instead of hot...still delicious but, a different experience.

Very good restaurant for dim sum dishes and many of the traditional dishes as well. HOWEVER if ordering to go make sure you check your order before leaving, painful lesson learned but mistakes happen.
Typical Dim Sum place, service was slightly worse considering dim sum standards. They did embrace social distancing which was nice. Some dishes were great while others were not. It got pretty lack during lunch so if you go, go early.
I ordered the two leek dumpling options and when I got home I realized that the crystal leek dumpling had shrimp in it. This was not mentioned at all and I have a severe reaction to shell fish. Had I eaten it without calling to check I would have died. They fail mention things in their descriptions that are very important. That being said my boyfriend enjoyed the food, its just unfortunate I couldn't eat anything I paid for.
Love this place, but it’s definitely a special treat thing since the wait is so long. Pro tip- check in ahead of time on their website and it will give you a number and approximate wait time. I say “approximate” because the wait is often much longer than it says.
