Great course, well maintained.

Course has gone downhill over the years and management has become increasingly hostile. I'll give an example. Yesterday, I showed up when the course was pretty much empty, called the clubhouse and tried to make an immediate tee time (to follow protocol). The clubhouse said there was no need and just to come in and pay, really nice guy. I wore a mask / everything was fine. Tonight was the same deal, empty course, so I figured I would just go in and pay for a quick 9. The assistant manager was there and proceeded to almost yell at me for not making a tee time (I was looking in disbelief at the empty course all around). I wore a mask and tried to be as polite as possible, but in the end had to walk out as his tone kept getting worse. I understand there are guidelines, but there should not be conflicting messages coming out from the same course. Even worse to take it out on your customers (screaming at me to go read the guidelines). Just when I thought that nice people had been restored (from last night's round), I was slapped in the face with reality. This is not the old hoodkroft.

Hoodkroft Golf Course, per their Insurer Liberty Mutual, will not be Liable for Damage sustained by errant Golf Balls leaving the Course any longer. Their policy is that if you suffer damage you are responsible for entering the course and finding the person who hit that ball. Pretty messed up for houses across the street that get constant damage to property - especially for houses that have existed longer than the Golf Course itself.
