I just had the best birthday dinner I can remember here. The new executive chef, Chris, is so incredibly talented. He prepared an omakase dinner that was on par with my favorite sushi restaurant in New York. For the longest time I've been frustrated with the lack of good sushi options in Detroit. However, tonight's experience completely changed my perspective. With new leadership and a focus on more traditional sushi that lets the fish speak for itself, it is truly spectacular. Also the service was incredible. They were so accommodating and had heaters in the igloo - making it an all around amazing outdoor dining experience on a cold January night. Highly, highly recommend this experience. I wish I took a picture of the nigiri, but I was able to snap an appetizer roll and dessert.

Absolutely amazing service! My wife has a shrimp allergy and they made sure that if there was any question if our food might come in contact with shrimp products, that they steer us away from that item. The food was fantastic, no skimping on portions. The sake flight was well worth it for what you get. Would recommend for anyone to get over and try it!!
Super excited to try this place. The service was great and the sushi was absolutely delicious and fresh. Best two rolls were the cosmo and Madagascar rolls. And definitely get a glass of their refreshing strawberry basil lemonade.
As we walked the streets of Detroit City enjoying the Christmas lights, we found this bright clean and welcoming location. All though busy, they made room for 4 of us, no reso, no issues. 2 of us had never tried sushi, so our server assisted us with the order. He was spot on, very good and tasty.
two days ago was our first time we came to that place. But It is obviously not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the good service, with the superb meal and fine drinks and with the comfortable payment. We will absolutely go back there in a short time.
