We then assemble the cases by hand before testing each for quality and durability standards. The Concept: Prior to the addition of the league’s first expansion teams in 1967, six hockey teams made up the National Hockey League: The Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, and New York Rangers. For nearly fifty years, these six teams were engaged in fierce rivalries and some of the most memorable moments in all of sports. Today, these teams are collectively referred to as “The Original Six”, and are among the most storied sports franchises in the world.
