Quintessential bike path network across Washtenaw County. Most of it follows the beautiful Huron River corridor.

Nice scenery- plenty of exercise, well worth the hike.
A great gathering place for friends, family or if you want to walk the trail in solitude. Parking by the Dexter Library (Farmer's Market area) makes it ease to access the steps down to the park area just west of the library. (There is also limited parking behind the Sheriff's Station. Picnic tables, and a small playground are in this immediate area. The boardwalk heads east and immediately goes under a large stone train crossing. The Border-To-Boarder trail is both wooden and paved, so it is easy to bike, roller blade, jog or push a stroller. It is also wide enough for to pass others and for two way traffic. It follows the Huron River and there are places along the 4.2 mile route to rest on benches. Markers show historic information about the area dating from the 1600's initial exploration through modern day development. The walk passes through open marsh areas and are great for birding. This is a great destination during most seasons. The locals you meet along the way are very friendly. Busy on the weekends when the weather is nice - but not overly so. A great destination. Highly recommended!
