A lovely horse boarding and riding facility. The owner, Anna, was the most gracious host. The stables were exceptionally maintained, horses were groomed and very happy in the stables. Plenty of nice riding trails, beautiful indoor arena as well as outdoor riding area which is lit up at night. She toured us around her stables and even lead us to the White Ferry and Potomac River dock on our way out. Just what this Wyoming country gal working in the city needed. I will be returning, guaranteed.

Anna took care of my horse for almost 3 years while we were boarded at Potomac Riverside Stables. She spent half of that time on field board and half of that time on stall board. With my busy work schedule, Anna would frequently keep me updated on my horse's health, often grooming her and giving her extra love at no extra charge. Anna was great at coordinating farrier and vet visits as needed, and always updating me if I was unable to be present. She is a wonderful communicator and extremely responsive! I knew I could always trust my horse would be looked after in my absence. She truly loves the horses she cares for and it shows in their health, as well as in the maintenance of the property. If it weren't for my moving for work, I would have stayed forever!
Beautiful farm. My horse was very happy there for the 2yrs. that I boarded him at Ana's Potomac Riverside Stables. Everyone who was riding there was friendly and helpful. The indoor and outdoor rings had good footing and trails were beautiful.
After checking the website I called the number listed and had to make sure it was a barn that I was calling and not a random person. I would recommend that they answer the phone with the name of the facility or something other than just a hello. Seemed annoyed when I asked if they did boarding for short stays. Just a very off putting phone call.
Best place to board ever! We came to the farm in 2009. We left to go to a trainer's barn for show competition but came back. We should not have left. We missed everything, particularly the fantastic care. PR turns out in small groups and rotates the fields. The horses always have plenty of hay and water. Field horses all have run-in sheds. Stalled horse have large stalls with plenty of hay and water. Barns are warm in winter, and cool in summer. Four large arenas and great trail riding. I was really impressed that, even when pipes froze, barn staff made sure all water troughs were unfrozen and had water which required troughs to be cleared of ice because trough heaters could not keep up when it was 2 degrees. You want a worry free place. This is it!
