We have stayed here every year for over 7 years, each summer. Dirst is a blast! More personal service than many of the other outfitters. Cabins are great, well priced, the people are great! We just love it :-)

Loved the service from this group of guys! Very reasonable prices that included pickup & drop off at our campsite in Buffalo Point National Park and very safely conscious. The river spots where they also dropped off & picked us up at were great spots. Fishing was great for the fisherman in our group (along the river banks) & kayaking fun for the rest of us. They even made a special stop on the way back for us - no problem. Will definitely come back next trip!

Staff was excellent! The cabin was nice and cold when we arrived. Super clean too. Just the right amount of amenities for our 4 day stay. Plenty of towels, blankets, fully equipped kitchen. Felt good to be able to take a nice hot shower after a day of hiking or floating the beautiful Buffalo River. We will definitely be back to Dirst to explore more in the area.

Long story but I paid 91 dollars to have my car moved and when filling out the forms I was in a rush and made the mistake of putting down the wrong license plate. I was in a new truck I recently got and I had not put the tags from my previous car that I registered with my new vehicle on yet, the tags on it where left buy previous owner for some reason. The vehicle description was somehow left blank which you would think Dirst would double check the forms make sure they had the information they needed to move vehicle so people don’t get stranded. But I was at fault I realize that for putting down wrong plate but what bothers me is The way Dirst handled the situation. They refused to refund my money after they did not move my car. They did not come get use and carpool us back to our car, thank goodness for some kind people on the river that helped us out and gave us a ride to our vehicle. It’s just not how you treat customers I just think at least we should have got a partial refund. I was told the reason it cost 91 dollars was it took 2 people 3 hours to to move car from Rush to Riley. A total of 6 hours paid by Dirst is why is was 91 there is no way Dirst spent 6 hours looking for my vehicle and should at least give me partial refund. Just disappointed in the way dirst handled everything.

Great service just DO NOT USE A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU! They are refusing a refund on 100 that they took for boats I didn’t even rent. So you may end up paying for someone else’s things here.

My family and I have always enjoyed our river vacations spent at Dirst! I was really surprised by the review given by "Savannah" since I was there that day and witnessed her constant complaining (whining) I have NEVER experienced an employee with Dirst being rude. The employees are always very considerate, helpful and directions given are very clear and concise (and repeated for those that didn't catch it the first time). Companies put Social Distancing in place to protect the consumer, but it is the decision of the consumer whether to choose distance or put on a mask. I didn't mind waiting for a bus that wasn't as crowded that particular day. Dirst is all about Awesome Customer Service!!! Thanks for a wonderful weekend and I will see you again soon. Homer :)

Fantastic experience with Dirst Canoe Rental & Log Cabins this weekend for a birthday trip! They fortunately had a last minute cancellation for the Elk cabin and we booked it. More on that in a moment! We arrived and floated Saturday morning. They were very chill and accommodating of our group. Mind you, things are just reopening from COVID-19. The staff was all very professional and wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Even the bus had every other seat roped off. While some may see this as unnecessary, we found it to be a sign of professionalism and care for their business. After our float to Dillard's Ferry, we made the 5 minute drive to the cabin. It was very clean, comfortable, and ready for us. The air conditioner was more than adequate. Kitchen was well furnished. The back porch was BEAUTIFUL! Screened in and in the shade - we spent most of our time there! We highly recommend Dirst and will certainly return!
