Very nice. Great rink. Clean. Was there for a kids b day party. Was very relieved that was a good police security there the entire time

This was my home away from home in the 80s & 90s, every single Fri & Sat night, holiday all night skates, the dances that went until like midnight after everyone skated the first session; This places brought me pure joy growing up & I just love & adore the I've been able to share the joy of Valkey Skating Center with my daughter Carmen(1998) & my son Anthony(2008).

Just recently visited for the first time in about 15 years. It looks exactly the same. The place desperately needs renovated. Same ugly carpets from when I was a child. Cheesy paintings on the wall. I seriously felt like I walked back into the 90’s going in there. There was a sign that all coats and bags must be put in the storage room because of covid precautions (but that makes no sense) my husband ordered a hot dog, it was microwaved and put on a cold bun. I can do that at home. They can’t even invest in a hot dog roller??? The entire staff seemed miserable. Overall was a very poor experience. A friend had her sons birthday party there and she too was displeased. It’s one of the only places to go roller skating around here (other than McKeesport) and it’s a shame they don’t pride themselves and make the place a little nicer.

Nice for kids birthdays. But would of liked to see rental skates being sprayed before use or kids rolling carts wiped down before use. Not much cleanliness here but was fun.
