Previous past cruiser of 8 times. So I can’t completely bash this company. Had many great experiences on many different boats. I just canceled my most recent booking that was booked for February 2021. We booked this cruise in February 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic. I booked 2 rooms taking my family of 5 on their first cruise. When I called in to cancel I was informed that I can move my cruise out to another date without any penalty. With no end in sight of this pandemic I chose to not rebook. I was then informed that I will forfeit my deposit. There was no other options. I chose to forfeit it, however I will not be back for my ninth cruise. Disney and Royal Caribbean is now on my radar. 300 deposit will not change my life. However it sounds like it is big deal for Carnival.

We went with carnival for our first cruise and wouldn’t go with anyone else. They reward you for going back to them with the VIFP membership. As you move up you get more perks. The cruise ship we went on was older but still nice it was Carnival Valor. The crew on it are amazing and polite. I never ran out of things to do. They host a lot of activities on board. They have a camp ocean if you have little kids that they will watch, however they do seem closed more then they are open so it’s not much of a camp. They do have clubs for teens and older kids. The rooms were always done nice and clean. We had a balcony room that we got upgraded to for a cheaper price and it was well worth it. Also the ship was very quite didn’t hear much of the engine or anything. The ship didn’t move a whole lot even in ruff waves you really didn’t notice it. I got the soda drinking package which is very nice to have. I didn’t like the taste of the water or tea. So I would recommend getting it. They also walk you through what to do in an emergency so you don’t have to wonder what if. Also the ship is very easy to Navigate. I think it only took me like two days to know where everything was at and by name. It’s pretty much a floating city. Everything you could ask for. This year we are going on Carnival Vista and can’t wait. You won’t regret going with Carnival.

Cruised on Carnival from Florida to the Caribbean. Grand Turk is my all time favorite port. My balcony room was very comfy. Great shows and lots of yummy food! Also had lots of fun playing table games and slots in the Casino. Can't wait to go again ️

Love cruising with Carnival. Have done 3 cruises on Carnival and liked them all. Of course there were small issues on each but nothing major, and everything Carnival staff on board or later guest services were willing to fix or accommodate. The kids camp is great and I feel very safe. Rooms are clean and regularly kept up. Room staff and dining staff really remember your name and try to cater to you as best as possible. The parties are fun if that’s your thing, but the shows are more our thing and they are good. They have magic shows, singing/ dancing shows, comedy shows, etc. Lots of shopping and shopping experts are great resources regarding where to shop etc. on the ports and provide the best deals. The food hours could be longer— there are periods of the day that only pizza and sandwiches are offered. Overall great fun and good ports.

Excellent first cruise experience and we created some fantastic memories. Practically all of the staff were friendly, the entertainment was a treat, the views were magnificent and the food was plentiful. Overall, it was good times but, as I'll describe below, I'll likely try other cruise lines before coming back. My biggest concern was that I felt mislead about the bottomless bubbles program. When I brought this concern to guest services on the first night and I asked for a refund, they were unable to help. First, it was extremely inconvenient to have to go to the bar to wait and ask for a drink each time. Second, the Coke tasted very watered down, even when served without ice. Third, the servers kept printing receipts as if to encourage me to tip when this was already factored into the initial purchase of the program. Fourth, one server imposed a time-limit on my drinks even though the glass was small and filled it with mostly ice. Everyone freely admitted that all of this was an attempt to limit and control the amount of drinks dispensed, which made me feel mislead about my purchase of \bottomless bubbles.\ No one told me that I was eligible to get bottomless juice as well, so I took advantage of that for the remainder of the trip. It's a small expense but it was not nice to experience buyers' remorse on the first night out and perhaps this lowered my expectation for the rest of the trip because I did enjoy the rest of my time on the Carnival Liberty.
