I had a great experience at Doraville Transfer Station. We went very early, at around 5:30 a.m. It's just barely a half mile away from the Tilly Mill Home Depot, so very convenient. The nice lady that was in the office by the scales gave me good instructions on where to unload the old computers and window air conditioner (sans coolant) that we wanted to get rid of. We were in and out within ten minutes. I definitely recommend and will use again.
Price is a bit high but location is very convenient.

This transfer station makes everyone who is unloading wear a safety vest. That's fine enough. However, they make no effort whatsoever to inform potential patrons of this when you call in to ask general questions. It seems to be this way because they sell cheap safety vests for a whopping 10 each. I just think that if you're gong to require something like that, you should also make a genuine effort to let your customers know, especially during Covid times, when you don't have vests for public use. I felt like I was completely taken advantage of and I felt like Covid 19 was used as a vehicle to gain extra money from the public. Had the vests been more reasonably priced and had I been informed of this when I called to ask about pricing, I would not feel duped. NOT COOL!
