I recently had to replace the two dishwashers in my house in Atlanta. The original dishwashers were installed 20 years ago with a painted wood panel on the front of each one. However, the new dishwashers required different sized panels so the old panels could not be reused. I tried several places in Atlanta to see about getting the two new panels fabricated and installed. I had become very frustrated with either the lack of response from these companies or their refusal to take on such a small job. Two to three weeks ago, I called Steve Duncan Cabinet Company. Steve answered the phone which itself was somewhat of a miracle. After I described my project, he expressed interest in trying to help me. In a matter of a day or two, he came to my house to look at the two new panel-ready dishwashers and to take measurements for the panels. He took one of the old panels to make certain that he could match the panel design. In a matter of six to eight days, he returned to my house and installed the panels. He then provided detailed instructions as to how I should prime and paint the panels. During installation of the panels, he discovered that the panels which were made to the dimensions specified by the dishwasher manufacturer did not properly line up. He therefore remounted the panels by recalculating the location of the drilled holes so as to correct the problem. Not only is Steve a professional endowed with lots of perseverance, but he is truly a problem solver. I completed the painting of the panels earlier this week and both my wife and I are extremely pleased with their appearance and how they integrate so beautifully with the rest of the kitchen.
