The people at this shop are simply the best. The patience, knowledge, and just plain love of the craft are some of the main reasons I shop local. Since I’m a beginner and don’t know very much about guitars, Paul and Nathan spent a lot of time helping me pick out the perfect one. I’ve now had this guitar for a few weeks and absolutely love it. I highly recommend Tobias!

I have lived in the Chicagoland area all my life and have played guitar for the last 31 years - and was not aware of this place - never set foot in there before. Really kicking myself for not finding these guys sooner. Small shop with an incredible selection, great prices, super people that know their stuff inside and out. I went in with a simple problem to solve, and Paul got me hooked up with a great solution. THIS is the prime reason we need to support mom and pop/family owned brick-and-mortar stores. The big box stores just can't provide the level of service, the quality of instruments, and the knowledge that a family-run store of over 40 years can. Would give 6 or 7 stars if I could!

This is one of the best guitar shops in the city. Everything about it is just miles ahead of any corporate chain. When you step in you're just engulfed in this amazing experience, from the wood floors to the walls that are filled with hanging guitars. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. Never condescending. There's not even a hint that they work on commission; everyone is so patient and non-pushy. They know a lot about different guitars, woods, pickups, etc. So they'll help you find a great guitar. I've bought/sold a few guitars here and I have no complaints. Their repair techs downstairs are good as well. Don't come in on a payday because you'll just end up splashing it all on a guitar and some pedals :)
