Fonthill castle was really nice. Very large property to walk the grounds. The staff is very knowledgeable. Very clean restrooms. There is an admission fee to tour the castle, not to walk the grounds. Would recommend to everyone!!

Beautiful place to visit . the tour guide she was very sweet and knew every answer. I really enjoyed my self . i would love to live there. For all the home school mom this would be the place to take those kiddo to learn about the past. Not crowded at all. Must wear a mask.

Fonthill House warrants 30 minutes of your time. Plenty of parking and room to walk around & explore the grounds free of charge. In the event that you are looking to fill an afternoon (or even a full day), call ahead or go to their website to set up a guided tour. The man behind the estate and nearby Mercer Museum is fascinating and worth studying.

Beautiful and intriguing historical site right in our backyard in Doylestown. Eclectic and amazing, it's a wonder to see and imagine what it took to build. The stories behind each of the rooms, and the hidden meaning in the mosaics make for an interesting and educational tour. You could spend days just looking in to all the nooks and crannies. I've been a few times and always experience something new. Especially amazing around the holidays, decorations delight.

Beautiful. Mercer had a very busy mind and it shows in 10,000 details in the house. We had a knowledgeable guide that made the tour very interesting.
