I LOVE Dr. Charles Smith. If you’re able to catch him there and are genuinely interested, he will spend time educating you about his art, culture, the plight of African-American veteran visibility, the issues affecting people of color, Civil Rights activists who were a part of the plight for justice: Reed, Liuzzo, etc. I just met him today. His personality is infectious. You won’t be able to pull yourself away once he gets going. He’s very REAL. Treat yourself to a good historical review of the country, culture, and relevant art. AMAZING.
