I came to Dr Maura with a gut health issue. I found her online so was uneasy at first since I typically find health/medical providers through referrals but her competence and demeanor quickly put me at ease. She expertly identified potential issues and ordered a series of tests that I was able to complete from home to hone in on the cause of my discomfort. After the results, she put me on a supplements and restrictive diet plan for several meals that improved the issue. In a follow up appointment after seeing the improvement we did an additional round of supplements that took me to a close to or cured state. I'm very pleased with the experience. Shelli in her office also gets 5 stars for all of her support in scheduling and coordinating tests. Thanks Dr Maura!

Dr. Maura has such a stellar reputation and while I was really eager to see her, I opted to see her associate Dr. Galina, whom I had also heard good things about. I'm so glad I did. Dr. Galina is truly a gifted physician. She completely resolved my PCOS and digestive issues when no other doctor I had seen (and I've seen many) was able to even understand what was happening. She listened carefully and never rushed through visits. She ran the right tests that got to the root cause of my problems and came up with treatment protocols that were totally natural, easy to follow and most importantly effective. She's warm and so smart. I appreciated the attentive support she gave me between visits. I've already referred a number of family and friends to see her. She gets my highest recommendation.
I have worked with Dr Maura on and off for about ten years now. She is always very kind and very comforting and makes you feel better just by speaking with you. She is very thorough and takes the time to understand the whole picture, not just select symptoms. Dr Maura has been extremely helpful for me. I've been working with her for about a year on chronic gut/digestion issues, and I've improved so much in that time. I appreciate that she did not push a long-term restrictive diet, as many other practitioners have done for me without attempting to treat the base issue. I was on a low-FODMAP diet as part of my treatment, but now I'm back to eating almost everything other than a few trigger foods. I would definitely recommend her if you are dealing with chronic health issues that other practitioners have not taken the time to address with depth and care.
After several years of chronic gut issues while at the same time getting no satisfaction from traditional medicine (all telling me I am as healthy as a horse), I eventually connected with Dr. Maura earlier this year and I have been working with her since. She quickly identified and the confirmed through lab work that I had both dysbiosis and SIBO and has since guided me on a treatment plan (temporary diet restrictions and herbal supplements) that has improved these significantly. We also reviewed adrenal / stress symptoms I was experiencing, along with sleep issues - and she recommended herbal remedies that helped with both. I now have a n invaluable resource to turn to in the future should any reoccurrence happen and I definitely recommend Dr. Maura if you are dealing with chronic issues that your regular doctor(s) are not managing to diagnose - am sure she can help shine a light on what the root cause (and treatment) may be.
