I can't say enough about the impact Dr. Nancy Musarra has had on my life. After one session with her I knew she was the perfect person to help me on my journey in therapy. She is extremely kind, caring, and makes you feel comfortable in disclosing whatever your issues are. She always addresses everything with sound advice and has helped my mental well being beyond anything I could have hoped for. I would highly recommend Dr. Nancy to anyone going through a rough time, she offers amazing coping techniques and is always so down to earth in her replies. The world needs more people like Dr. Nancy as she does such a service in helping people when they're at their lowest and I can't thank her enough!

I was recommended to Dr. Musarra and I have used her services on a couple of occasions. I would highly recommend her and her services. Her professionalism speaks for itself. She was always well prepared and gave an honest insight on how she could help, whether you wanted to hear what she thought, or not. She continually challenged me and gave me things to work on before each upcoming session. I couldn't be more thankful for her help.

This is one magnificent Dr.! Dr. Musarra has been instrumental to my sister’s recovery. She was the first and most helpful person to educate us on how to move forward from what seemed to be a hopeless situation. She is extremely professional, down to earth and full of energy. I truly cannot adequately describe her honest heartfelt desire to help people. I highly recommend Dr. Musarra she has genuinely gone above and beyond to help our family! I am forever grateful!

Insightful, educational, and informative. Dr. Musarra was able to provide new information for both professionals who work with developmentally disabled individuals as well as for families. Dr. Nancy provided information on best practices for supporting families and individuals as well as how to positively navigate systems such as schools, agencies, and professional providers. Dr. Nancy used her personal experiences and professional expertise to make her Workshop a meaningful experience. Highly recommend attending presentations both on a professional level as well as a personal level. Dr. Nancy's passion for her work along with her caring and empathy is clearly evident. Her presentation was positive and offered hope for families. Professionals in the field who work with disabilities should definitely attend a workshop - you will learn more about developmental disabilities by spending a day with Dr. Nancy than you did in your entire graduate school experience. Thank you Dr. Nancy. Highly recommend!

Dr Nancy Musarra's book 'The New Normal: 7 Things to Know as You Care for & Love a Child with Special Needs' is a poignant and beautiful book. As a mother of an infant son with complex special needs, 'The New Normal' is a unique and enlightening book. Almost all parenting books are written for parents of neurotypical children, which only made my situation feel more isolated. This book shone a light onto special needs families and taught me that I wasn't alone on this journey. That others had tread this path before me and had a range of different experiences, a mixture of triumphs and struggles- and that this was okay. It taught me that as difficult as some days may be, my 'New Normal' is only a variation from the normal I had anticipated. If not even more beautiful than I could have ever have expected. Thank you Nancy for shining that light and sharing exactly what this special needs Mum needed to prepare her for her journey.

As a Clinical Psychologist I strongly recommend Dr. Musarra's book, The New Normal. This is a book about the difficulties of raising special Interest kids. It is a wonderful compilation of stories directly taken from special interest families and the stresses experienced. Dr. Musarra quite correctly organizes decision-making under stress into seven distinct categories. Those categories in turn are important to families under stress as they struggle to solve sometimes very difficult problems. I reiterate that this book is important and highly recommended.
