We love taking the kids \fishing\ here. You never know what kind of wildlife you'll see driving back to the fishing area. We've seen whitetail deer, some pretty good sized turkeys, a beautiful timber rattlesnake basking in the road and plenty of squirrels darting around. We got to observe a bed of freshwater mussels at the boat landing last trip, the kids loved watching them! It's maintained well and has a few little fishing nooks on the way to the boat landing. Nothing for a sports fisherman but is great for letting the kids \fish\ lol Each time we've gone it's been quiet which is good so the kids don't disturb anyone else fishing. Don't forget to bring mosquito spray though there's some pretty big mosquitoes late in the afternoon lol
