my job was RESCINDED due to COVID. i applied for unemployment in august and have been waiting on a phone call from "fact finding" for over a month! the customer service line is a joke! the right hand NEVER knows what the left is doing. i am so very sad and depressed this is insane

They don't know how to use a phone. I always have to call & leave a voicemail 2-3 times in 2 weeks before they decide to give me a call back. Terrible customer service during a stressful time in a person's life. You would think they would be more helpful.
I turned in the application and my resume for an excellent postgraduate opportunity with the assurance that they would be forwarding them to the Dubuque County Conservation Board for review. After waiting two weeks, I called the DCCB to follow up, only to find out that apparently only 1 person applied, and they gave them the job. Iowa Workforce Development never turned in my application or resume, nor did they even submit my name as an interested party to the DCCB. Restricted me from an excellent job opportunity and failed to perform their only task as a job placement agency.
Called Friday to talk with someone at 4:02 and it rang for 30min till they closed. Thanks
